Standing Ergonomics

Standing Ergonomics

• When working in a standing position, your monitor should be at eye level

• The surface holding your computer should be at or slightly below elbow height so that your elbows bend at a 90-degree angle.

• Your eyes should be 20 – 28 inches from the monitor screen which should be at a 20-degree tilt.

• Wearing comfortable shoes and/or using an anti-fatigue mat will help reduce back strain.

• Your shoulders should be relaxed and directly above your hips.

• Occasionally resting one foot on a foot rest or small stool can increase your comfort as long as you switch feet every few minutes.
